A "mini" Giveaway!!

Swatched- Revlon Whimsical

Sheer but clever! This sheer polish reminds me of young romance. Light pink hex and round glitters, similar shaped light blue glitters and small round silver glitters floating in a sheer blue polish. It lives up to its name, whimsical. I love this polish I swatched two fingers. Had to do four coats. The brush is standard skinny, application was easy and smooth. The formula is not chunky. Each layer dried fast no bubbling. I love my bottle of whimsical!

How do you find the time?!

Okay, so I took a week off my office job to try to get things in order then I realized.... o m blob I haven't swatched even half of my polishes!! How do people swatch all their polishes when their stash is over 100+ bottles?! I did two swatches today and my fingers are dry. Also I feel guilty... I buy polishes because I love the color but I dont just swatch a whole hand for a post. Idk I am not a wasteful person and think I should wear the shade and show it off not just swipe it off after the pics are taken :(. I am posting pics of my "stash" and newbies. I am feeling so much pressure from looking/reading through some other blogs and seeing their swatch lists (some are so lengthy). I understand everyone likes to see and know about the polish well I want to see is it ok if I swatch a SINGLE nail? And describe in detail how I felt about the application? I will post more pics of my manis and steps as I go but the whole swatch and remove for pics really makes me frown to waste polish. Open to opinions pls let me know what you think.

Swatched- Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure

Sally Hansen Salon Manicure in Yellow Kitty. My favorite yellow! I love the fat brush, goes on smooth, driea fast. The soft yellow needed three coats. I got this bottle on sale from CVS for under $3!

Weekend work days I try to dress a tee up for work :p it's how I roll.

Swatches- Ulta

Diva is a very sheer pink with round fine holo glitters. Piñata-yada-yada is a clear base with hex and round shiny glitters (yellow, silver, blue, red, fuschia, and green). Lav-ish is a lavender like purple with a gold shimmer. Each finger was two coats except Diva (took 4 coats).

Blogger Crush

So I again was at my day job and caught myself on Google... Idk how but am glad I found Nailnerd.com. Wow she is talented! Her About The Nerd had me "lol" literally. I love finding out about new-to-me blogs and reading about them and can relate to what I read. I want to ask her where she gets her Barry M polishes cause I need some in my life!

Zoya Zang Toi waiting game :/

So while at work my mind was wondering so I decided to google Zoya Zang Toi Polishes. I wanted to see what bloggers were writing about this sale and also who got the chance to buy it. Well I was amazed when I came across All Lacquered Up's pics on google images with markings that said 2days ago... I was like hmm that was during the sale how in the heck. Well I read her blog on my break (nearly killed my cell batt) then I understood. This lady is pretty well known and for a good reason. She is a polish obsessed blogger one of the first actual to focus on polish... (light bulb brightens now).. so then I was like "hmph ok now I know why she may have gotten her hands on those colors early". Well I am happy to see her swatches of the colors of what I am waiting for the arrival of..lol. She also has a giveaway, I so entered, I want to Peter Som collection but I was not fast enough to get it. I received my tracking info yesterday but the package claims to be in transit from Ohio still... agghhh. I need to stop looking. Once my Zoyas come in I will do a polish count, I have NO IDEA how many bottles of polish I own from October 2011 till now. Well we shall see once my package arrives!! :) Check out All Lacquered Up for awesome polish news and giveaways!!

Manis... how often do you change your's?

Gave myself a very detailed cuticle treatment on Tuesday then rocked Sinfulcolors Chromes for two days. Naked nails today except for a swatch of Ulta's Diva, a sheer pink with round holo glitters. I have now felt like I molested my Whimsical bottle from grabbing, twirling, and just holding it multiple times. I am so in love with this creme based polish with awesome sky blue and pink hex and circle glitters. I want a Whimsical mani so bad but I would hate to damage it or ruin it in a short period of time (I have nail clients lined up for the next few days). Le sigh for real... loving this color and polish. I will fight myself for the remainder of the night to see if I can get myself to open this new bottle of Whimsical. My sister also says I'm such a "nail tech", I have different looking nails nearly daily and hardly have two matching hands. Monday I was rocking the chrome mani on my left hand and the sailor inspired look on my right. Well I will post a mani pic by tomorrow even though I have no idea what I want to wear on my nails yet. Also I'm waiting on my Zoya Zang Toi package!! :/

Sinfulcolors Chromes

The first pic is one coat, I did stop at two coats. The coverage was great and went on smoothly. I like how fast all Sinfulcolors polish are. My thumb is Out of This World, index finger is Moss Have, middle is Zincing of You, ring finger is Hot Wired, and Pinky is Gone Platinum. The only " issue" I had was Moss Have, it dries while applying so stroke fast!

Ulta deal bogo on Butter London polish!

So I'm going to Ulta today and besides trying to score awesome Butter London colors I'm going with coupon in hand. I do not own a single Butter London so to get two for less than $10 that's so around my pricing for bottle polishes. So many reviews and raves I want to know why. Hmmm will this surprise me like Revlon Whimsical did?? I really hope I read the fine print right and walk out with two bottles and only paying $8 with tax. Wish me luck!!

Zoya Le Zang Toi Ordered!

Sometimes FB hurts my wallet more than anything. Oh well it's for polish and a Limited Edition Collection at that. Eek so excited I got my order in... now the hard part, the waiting game. I will swatch these as soon as they come in and I may do a nail mail opening video! I wish I could've snagged the other collection also but I wasn't quick enough. The holo glazes have been on my wishlist for a while I think that will be my next Zoya purchase. Hope some of you got lucky and placed your orders for this ridiculously genius collection.

Exclamation= DELETED Pics (thx Picasa) NOT! :(

Ugh so I finally found out that I should not be mad at Google or Blogspot but infact it's Picasa that was the one who deleted the pics once I activated and synced my Google+ account. Wish I had known because now I can't get back some of those cool pics of mani's and hauls I did over the summer. Sucks I know but oh well can only move forward now. Wish there was a warning somewhere when you activate your accounts on WHAT MAY/CAN happen. Good to know even though I lost some important stuff.

Sally Hansen @ Dollar Tree= SCORE!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE bright colors when I was aimlessly browsing through the aisles of this particular Dollar Tree that I visit least even though it's less than a mile from my home I was SHOCKED to catch a bright awesome yellow out of the corner of my eye. Once I did prance over to it I grabbed it soooo fast (as if MINE'S! even though no one was around) it's Sally Hansen Insta-DRI in Lightening!! EEEEK (super excitement squeal). I ended up using this for a look on a client this past Sunday (laid down lightening on every fingernail and zebra printed over each nail) this color is AWESOME. My client loved this look so much she had me give her a pedi also but design only on the big toe nails. I love how fast this formula dries and how opaque/thick it lays. I've heard wonders about these polishes (Insta-DRI) being used w/ stamp art kits, I can't wait to try it out. Well I swatched so here you go! :)

Dip-dye or look like you Dip-dyed ;)

I recently decided to go to a blonde/brownish color with teal & purple tips. Scored some Ion ready to apply color dyes for $3 a tube!! Since my hair was already lightened from the coloring I did before, bleaching was not required woohoo. These colors are ready to apply so easy straight from the tube. You leave it in for 20-30mins rinse the dye out and ta-da instant fun color! It lasts only 3 Weeks with normal washing and the color does not run in the rain to stain clothes like Manic Panic does, still love Manic P though. Well here is what I used and my results. Just another fun way to express yourself and not feeling guilty/regret cause its not costly or permanent. Would def try more colors again!

Sally Hansen dollar deal!!

Found some Sally Hansen Insta-DRI polish at my local Dollar Tree!! Eek so excited. I've heard these polishes work well with stamping art. Too bad I was only able to locate one. I will be stalking the Dollar Tree often now definitely. Bright colors can help make an outfit to me so I was overjoyed when I found Lightening, an opaque great perfect yellow. Awesome deal for sure cause this polish still sells for $3-$4 at Walmarts!

Fourth of July mani

Gel overlays, confetti, and glitters!

DIY nail art/decorations

You will need some mini-stampers from a craft store, inexpensive. I got a flower, music note, and a heart. Ziplock or sandwich baggy. And a few of your favorite polishes. I used fast dry ones. Paint the polishes in squares or any shape you think is more efficient. I let each layer air dry (2 coats each took me 15mins.) before applying the next. Each shape peels off easily and just insert into your stamper and poof!! I like making my own nail art because I customize looks for clients and this helps me offer a different type of art compared to other techs.
