Zoya buy 2get2 flash sale purchase..

Overly excited over my purchase!! Zoya has been having flash sales daily recently I've been fortunate to catch two. This is my first flash sale purchase and omblob I am so happy I bought these. Daul is a purple with gold metallic very fine glitter but needs four coats to not look so sheer. Evvie is a creme near camouflage like green oh its pretty. Natty is a creme dark near navy but not quite blue I'm in love! Rehka is a creme dark red (perfect for fall/winter) forget other reds this one is almost goth-like (I love) its pure sophistication. As you can tell I am very happy with my purchase I will be buying up dream boxes as gifts too!! Btw all other colors besides Daul covered well in two coats.

December IPSY bag

This second bag has me squealing!! The Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on eye pencil in Zero would've been enough but I'm grateful for everything else that came too. NYX Pearl pigment in 06 black pearl, usually $3.99 for 5ml (size I rcvd). Be a Bombshell gloss in Hot Mess (tube is longer and thicker than lipglass tube) unsure of the price. I've been on the market for a primer so I'm soooo happy to see this Mirabella face and eye primer, gees so much product but hey I am not complaining. The last thing in my cute gray bag is Mai Couture's Highlighting Papier, yes you heard right, it looks similar to blotting sheets but it applies a glow to where you apply it. I cant wait to show you what look I will create with these items! My Glam/IPSY I am going truly happy with your service!

Fan Appreciation...

A separate giveaway is in order!! Nearly 300 fans on FB and 200 on my big!?! Eek I squeal with joy. I couldn't find any Lippmann polishes so I am doing a giveaway on other brands I love also. A reveal pic I posted was of OPI's Pirouette My Whistle.... I love this polish. So much that all the women in my family currently own a bottle too! Stick around and let's paint the town in glitter! Giveaway will be launched Saturday eastern time. Good luck everyone & thanks!

Why I'm no longer a Maven...

Julep is a big company that produce 8 ml bottle polishes that can be delivered to you for a membership price. I of course a fellow polish lover was like "Cool! SOLD!!". Well after a few months of being a "Maven" I was sadly disappointed. The cost of these polishes per bottle for the quantity firstly was bothersome, $11.20-$15 for a bottle a little more than half of a standard bottle I would buy, usually 15 ml. I own about a dozen Julep polishes, 8 bottles still have the plastic wrap intact. Yeah yeah the other stuff they threw in was cool (foot file, filer, cool mask, lip balm, hand cream, and even a sunblock) along with some candies, pretty tissue papers, and packing confetti. But still $19.99 is steep for 2-3 bottles of 8 ml polishes. What really got me was the dupes people found! The dupes are polishes you can buy from the local drugstores too. I've seen dupes of Juleps from Sinful Color, Pure Ice, and even Wet n' Wild. The brands I've named are priced between $.99-$1.99, how's that fair to pay nearly 10x the price for a 8 ml bottle or be a "Maven" and they send you a "styled" box? I am fully aware of China Glaze, Orly, and OPI having dupes also BUT I've NEVER paid double digits for a bottle from any of those brands. Also the Oprah's favorites white box of 12 julep polishes on their site goes for $105 but is being sold on QVC for $84 SAME brand/product! Canceling was weird. I called a toll free # got an automated prompt system, selected my request, LEFT a message with my email, waited 48 hours to get an email to advise they got my request. Why couldn't I speak to a live person? Oh well it's all said and done right? I will share with you the links of the dupes. This is my experience I can't speak for others, I also won't "knock" you for supporting or loving Julep I'm just saying I can live without these polishes. http://misshollyberries.wordpress.com/2012/10/15/the-look-for-less-dupe-alert-2/ http://apolishedaddiction.blogspot.com/2012/03/julep-nails.html http://www.jilltasticnaildesign.com/search/label/Julep http://dennysdigits.blogspot.com/2012/04/new-polish-dupe-alert.html This policy is valid from 21 June 2011 This blog is a personal blog written and edited by me. RED December

World Aids day is coming up, Dec. 1st, reds are my all time fave. Wet n' Wild fast dry in 221C Everybody loves Redmond is really an overlooked color. It laid nice, even, and dried fast. I'm loving this red. Almost don't want to write on my nails but I am itching to create!

Zoya Dreambox... Are you excited?

Okay my opinion is "heck yeah!". I was sort of bummed when I got my first Myglam/Ipsy bag because it didn't have polish. My second bag though came with a Nailtini (Millionaire) & I was ecstatic. No guarantees that future bags will have polish so I've been looking for a monthly polish club... none! And these make up clubs send me stuff I wouldn't pick on my own for the most part. So I am canceling my memberships as of this week. Zoya you have my business monthly now till you do away with your Dreambox deals. I love getting new polishes more than other products. Tomorrow will be my first order placement for my first Dreambox. I've shared the news to a few close to me and via Facebook so many are interested so gifting and giveaways will happen in the near future. Thank you Zoya for hearing my prayers to the polish gods.

Designing is my stress relief

To keep calm or find my inner peace after some chaos I can be found painting. For my nail art I use polish, nail paints, acrylic paints from crafts stores, and loose glitters. Nail art shouldn't be restricted, each client is different so I cater to their taste. I hate to so no so every nail trend I will try just ask. I will show you five designs done by hand. I use Kolinsky brand brushes, Loew-Cornell(inexpensive good quality), stripers, and no name Michael's value pack brushes. Animal print, line designs, dots, cartoon inspired images, and flowers are just a few designs I have mastered. Light strokes is the secret ;).

OPI You Don't Know Jacques

It's cold out so I was really wanting a warm color. Its a good opaque color to me its like a mix of gray, brown, hint of purple even...lol oh dear that probably makes no sense. But I love it. Easy application two coats.

Where I buy Color Club...

Okay there's been so many questions, well I will try to point you in the right direction, again I said try. I recently got Color Club Winter Affair Duo for $3.99. I didn't think it was a big deal till my Instagram pic was commented on and also a few direct messages. Well I got this set at TJMaxx for $3.99. Sally's has it for $8 is what I've been told, also unsure if that is potter bottle or a set. Color Club has been coming out with so many fun sets that I signed up for emails f Ron their site about deals and what nots. While doing that I then checked out sets on the site. The same duo I got us going for $10 on their site... Okay I got a deal for sure. My local suppliers are also carrying more Color Club polishes so I hope to have a go to for Color Club in the near future. At Premiere Orlando I sort of staked out at their stand both days lol. For now I will keep seeking deals at TJ Maxx & Ross. Unless otherwise stated all of my Color Clubs will come from those two stores because I can't stomach paying Sally that much for a bottle.

CND me finally!

After a very long wait I finally had the guts to do a mani sammich as some calls it. Basically you apply a color then add a fun glitter on top them layer on another coat of color and repeat to your liking. I've been dying to us Trust Fund Baby so I had to try it out. I love this subtle but fun mani. I used Cheeky its a creamy off white. Recently broke a few nails so sorry for the nubs but this is too fun to not share. It's my first sandwich polish mani but I doubt it's my last!

Favoring a brand? Tried CND yet?!

Never caught myself "favoring" a brand but apparently I do. Today I went to my local supplier to browse with my sister before she had to work... man oh man this was a trap! We were checking out OPI & Essie's new colors out and oldies we wanted. Whatevs right? Yeah all was well till we found the mark down stickers! I was reading the OPI bottles names, they are genius, when "Mim" says "Mel I found your fav brand!!". Of  course I sprint over to the next aisle. Ahhh CND products I was lusting for!! Last year CND came out with a 2011 fall/winter set but the 3PC set was tough to swallow at the time so I never got it. It went on sale earlier this year but I was still "eh no I can buy so many items for that amount.", again I passed up on it. Now I am thrilled I stood my ground I now own The Look set by CND and it cost me a whole $7.25! Ahh you can't say that was not a steal. I never thought I'd own this awesome set....ever. This set comes with Sheer 24K Sparkle Effect, Midnight Sapphire, and Dark Amethyst! Just beautiful. I also snagged Pink Wishes by CND it came with Pink Wishes polish and Pink Wishes Pearl Effect. I'm nearly out of nude colors so I grabbed CND's Buff and Cheeky! Lastly I got me a big bottle of CHI Australian Oil, I have puffy coarse hair and oils help tame it. I'm ridiculously excited over this mini haul as you can tell :) eek onwards to some designs soon but here are some pics of my lovely buy for now.

Sally Hansen Polar Bare & Nabi

So sheer this fluid bare white I had to do 4 coats. I love at least two accents so I took my Nabi 60 gold glitter and got this!! Application was easy but layer drying time is longer than I'm use to. But still living this look.

Icing After Party

Glitter/confetti polishes are either loved or hated, I for one love them! After Party in two coats over Sally Hansens Café Au Lait (sigh) sophisticated fun in a bottle these two!

Claire's & Icings finds

Since I started blogging more I've been obsessed with diff types of glitter polishes. Good glitter is especiy a must own. I grabbed two from Claire's glitter polishes in clear base, oh man pure love. In Icings I found a 4 pk hello kitty glitter jelly set marked down to $5, own! Well here are my finds... Once my school load clears I promise more Nailart and swatches!

Walgreens haul

I found Nabi polishes!! Scored four bottles of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure for $1.99 each.. Yay! My two Nabi were 2 for $7, one bottle a quarter of the polish was used but I didn't notice till I left. I made this run on my thirty minutes lunch break so it was quick. I'm loving everything I got today! Nabi's 60 Gold Glitter reminds me of awesome fairy dust. It is scented and the ones I got do smell like watermelon. Pretty neat if you ask me.

Haul Friday is what's happening today!

So I've saved all my coupons, marked down sales for each store near me, and gathered my giftcards. I'm going to get my first Butter London today and grab a few collections for myself. Last night I missed the release for Deborah Lippmann polishes on HSN. At the office job now but yet I can't focus. Also Zoya's ornate collection keeps tempting me so if my internet access isn't blocked I shall be planning out ownership on some new beauties! My Giveaway ends today can't wait to mail out the polishes to the winner. :) have a productive Friday, I will try!

Nyx Karnak (my perfect nude)

I love this nude, debating on what art I want. If no art maybe some glitter? Hmm it's such a pretty nude. Two coats its a bit sheer but looks good on my tan skin not draining. Nyx polish is hard to find in stores. I actually got this at an outlet. Five bottles of NYX for $5! One bottle I got 3 uses then dropped it on accident and it broke. This is actually my last Nyx bottle :(... I hope to get more soon.

Misbehaving polish?

Rarely but it does happen I have polishes that harden or get chunky/clumpy. Well a striper "went bad" before I could even use it! I scraped out clumps (the more chunks removed it will be easier to clean with less acetone to waste). I scraped out the big clumps with a plastic cuticle pushing stick and a dotting tool. In went the acetone, I shook it for a while then poured out the excess. I cleaned the metal ball on a cotton ball. I didn't clean it thoroughly but enough to keep this striper brush and bottle around to use and reclean for other colors I like.

Revlon Colorstay in Bonsai

Beautiful green that givea off a near metallic smooth finish. After three fingers the application got a bit clumpy. I just fixe the lumps on the second coat no biggie. I am loving the wider square brushes that come in these bottles.

First pic is one coat. Second is two coats no top.
